WHAT IS A C.S.A?
C.S.A. Stands for Community Supported Agriculture. A C.S.A. is a unique way to become invested in a local farm's success and enjoy this success in the form of healthy, local, produce. A C.S.A. functions by Members purchasing a "share" from their farm in exchange for weekly produce. The money spent supporting a C.S.A. covers the expense of seeds, plants, equipment and much more. This business model creates a more stable, sustainable lifestyle for the farmers. It is an opportunity to build a relationship with the people who grow your food and reap the yummy benefits!

Do you love your vegetables and hate to see the end of your local farmer's market as the seasons begin to change?
Join us at Fifth Month Farm for our 2024-2025 Winter C.S.A!
We grow produce all winter long for you to enjoy in your 14 week C.S.A. share. Members may also choose to receive double the vegetables on the week of Thanksgiving when they purchase a share for the season!
Our C.S.A. is "Free Choice"
This means as a member, you will be able to select your weekly produce "Market Style" based on the vegetables we have available and the size share you choose to purchase. You can pick-up a bag of your choices in Mount Joy at the farm, in Lititz at the Savory Gourmet, in Millersville at Front Porch Baking Co., in Lancaster City at Wish You Well Bakery or pay an additional fee for Home Delivery within our delivery area. If you're in the Philadelphia area, we have pick-up locations in Lansdowne at Camellia Coffee House, our stand at Fairmount Farmers Market and in South Philly at Heavy Metal Sausage Co. You choose all of your vegetables via a weekly online form. And all your winter vegetables will be grown right here on our farm!

How do I know what share size is right for me?
Consider what you typically buy at the grocery store each week and look at our "Example Share" above. If you're still stumped, send us an email at [email protected] and we will be happy to help you choose the right share for you!
WHat if I can not pick up my share one week?
Contact us at [email protected] as soon as you know you will be missing a pick-up day and we will see how we can accommodate you.
how does pick up OR DELIVERY work if there is bad weather?
In the case of inclement weather, your farmers will contact all C.S.A Members through email to determine an alternate day for share pick up.
WHAT IF I DO NOT SUBMIT MY SHARE CHOICES BY 8 A.M. ON WEDNESDAY?
Not to worry! If a C.S.A. Member is unable to submit their share choices for the week by 8 A.M. Wednesday morning, we will simply curate a box for you. Trust us. We're professionals!
